The Leading Resource in Resilience

For nearly four decades, Disaster Recovery Journal (DRJ) has been the trusted voice advancing business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, and operational resilience. Today, DRJ connects a global community of more than 138,000 professionals, delivering insight, education, and peer collaboration to those responsible for keeping organizations running through disruption.

What began as a publication has evolved into the industry’s most comprehensive platform for resilience professionals, bringing together practitioners, leaders, and innovators who are shaping the future of risk and resilience.

Our Mission

To empower resilience professionals with the insight, connections, and practical guidance needed to make informed decisions, strengthen organizational readiness, and drive measurable business impact.

What We Do

DRJ provides a vendor-neutral, practitioner-led platform designed to bridge strategy and execution across the full resilience lifecycle.

Through a combination of live events, digital content, research, and community engagement, we deliver:

  • World-class conferences that bring together global leaders and practitioners to share real-world experiences and actionable strategies
  • Educational content and editorial insights that explore emerging risks, evolving technologies, and best practices
  • Webinars and virtual programming that provide ongoing learning and timely perspectives
  • Research and thought leadership that help organizations benchmark, adapt, and improve their resilience programs
  • A global professional community focused on collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement

Our Scope

Resilience today extends far beyond traditional disaster recovery. DRJ supports the full spectrum of disciplines required to keep organizations operational in an increasingly complex and interconnected world, including:

  • Business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Cyber resilience and IT disaster recovery
  • Crisis management and emergency response
  • Operational resilience and enterprise risk management
  • Third-party and supply chain resilience
  • Leadership, governance, and organizational culture

By bringing these disciplines together, DRJ helps organizations break down silos and build integrated, adaptive resilience programs.

Our Approach

DRJ is built on a simple principle: real practitioners, real insights, real outcomes.

Our content and events are designed to go beyond theory, focusing on practical application, peer-to-peer collaboration, and measurable takeaways. Whether through interactive formats, expert-led sessions, or community-driven discussions, our goal is to ensure every engagement delivers value that can be applied immediately.

As the resilience landscape continues to evolve, DRJ remains committed to pushing the conversation forward, helping organizations not only respond to disruption, but anticipate it, adapt to it, and emerge stronger.

Our Community

At the heart of DRJ is a global network of professionals who are responsible for protecting their organizations, their people, and their operations.

From business continuity planners and IT leaders to risk executives and crisis managers, our community represents the full spectrum of resilience leadership. Together, they share knowledge, challenge assumptions, and drive the evolution of the industry.

Looking Ahead

Resilience is no longer a function, it is a strategic imperative.

DRJ continues to evolve alongside the organizations we serve, expanding our focus, deepening our content, and strengthening our community to meet the demands of an increasingly complex world.

Because the future runs on resilience.
