Tracey Rice was more than a respected subject matter expert in the resilience field—she was a connector, a mentor, and a friend to all who crossed her path. Known for her charisma, kindness, and deep professional knowledge, Tracey had a rare gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel part of something meaningful.
To honor her legacy, the Tracey Rice Memorial Scholarship was created to help the next generation of professionals experience the same sense of community and purpose that Tracey fostered throughout her career.
About the Scholarship
The scholarship supports emerging professionals who embody Tracey’s spirit of curiosity, collaboration, and compassion. Recipients will have the opportunity to attend a DRJ Conference (Spring or Fall) with a complimentary Full Conference Pass, gaining access to educational sessions, networking opportunities, and the community that Tracey loved so much.
Who Should Apply
This scholarship is open to:
- Individuals who demonstrate Tracey’s qualities of curiosity, generosity, and positivity.
- Those with a natural ability to connect people, build community, and inspire collaboration in the resilience profession.
How to Apply
Applicants will be asked to provide:
- A short personal statement (around 300 words) describing how they reflect Tracey’s spirit and how attending DRJ will help their professional growth.
- An optional letter of recommendation from a mentor, professor, or employer.
A review committee of DRJ leaders and Tracey’s peers will select the recipient(s).
Recognition
Scholarship recipients will be:
- Recognized during the DRJ Conference’s General Session.
- Featured on DRJ’s website, magazine, and social channels.
- Welcomed into the DRJ community as part of Tracey’s ongoing legacy.
