Thinking About Paris

Written by  Vicki Thomas

ParisThe Eiffel Tower. Champs Élysées. Arc de Triomphe. Le Louvre. La Seine. Montmartre. Luxembourg Gardens. Crepes. Tour de France. City of Love.

When I used to think of Paris, France, these are the words that came to mind. Memories from my two visits to this beautiful and stunning city.

Now, today, three days after the seven coordinated attacks on the city that left 129 people dead and more injured and fighting for their lives, I don’t think of the beauty and wonder that makes Paris “Paris”.

I think of the people that make Paris such a joy to visit and experience. The people who were just going about their day, enjoying an evening out at a restaurant or taking in a concert. People like you and me.

It is too early to consider looking at the attacks on Paris by the Islamist State with an eye on business continuity. Instead this week, we’ve collected a range of news coverage about the attacks and included some links that are updated regularly with late-breaking news.

Our thoughts are with the people of Paris and those who have lost friends, family members, and so much more.
