Schools, businesses, community centers, and other organizations are having to revise the way they operate in order to keep staff, students, patrons, and visitors safe during this public health emergency. Disinfection has become more important than ever and Larson Electronics is here as your disinfection technology partner.
High-touch surfaces need to be assessed and disinfected more frequently than before the pandemic. High-touch surfaces include elevators – buttons and keypads, doors, walls, handrails, emergency buttons, floors/carpets, ceilings, lights, and more.
As soon as a disinfected surface is touched it becomes vulnerable to recontamination, which means elevators should be disinfected between patrons. However, with traditional disinfection methods, such as spraying and wiping, this isn’t always possible.
The dwell time for liquid disinfection varies, but could be up to 5 minutes or longer. Also, liquid disinfectants need to air dry to be most effective. Because of this, other disinfection technologies are more efficient and effective.
Larson Electronics has a special UV disinfection package for elevators that can be used in a variety of environments, including schools, office buildings, industrial facilities, banks, sports and entertainment complexes, movie studios, warehouses with lifts, commercial buildings, and more.
The Larson IND-LLP-UVC-KT.EV-R1-120V UV Disinfection Package for Elevators includes:
- One 40-watt industrial UV-C corner mount fluorescent fixture. The IND-EV-SS-48-1L-UVC-V1-MS offers a UV output range of 200nm to 280nm (average 254nm) and measures 4’ in length. The UV-C fluorescent lamp provides illumination at a 45˚ angle to the ground and is mounted inside a 304 stainless-steel housing.
- One industrial UV air purifier. The IND-AHC-TRF-2X2-UVC-R1-120Voffers a UV output range of 200nm to 280nm (average 254nm) and comes equipped with three T8 UV-C fluorescent lamps. This air purifier is made of 304 stainless steel. This unit draws in dirty air and passes it through the UV sanitation chamber where it is treated with powerful UV-C.
- One no-touch key. The XLE-MD-AK-R1 no-touch key is made of durable stainless-steel and features a C-hook design. This key gives people the ability to push elevator buttons and use the C-hook to open doors without having to touch either with their bare hands. This device helps limit contact with possibly contaminated surfaces inside elevators.
With facilities preparing to open back up or increase capacity, it is important to have a proper disinfection plan in place. That plan should include enhanced disinfection technologies, such as our UV elevator disinfection package. Learn more about this package by clicking here and order yours today.
