Fenix24 Acquires appNovi to Enhance Cyber Asset Visibility and Incident Response

by Jon Seals | April 24, 2025 | | 0 comments

Acquisition strengthens Fenix24’s capabilities in cyber resiliency with advanced network visualization and asset mapping

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Fenix24™, the world’s leading cyber disaster restoration and recovery company, today announced the acquisition of appNovi, the first Cybersecurity Mesh Architecture (CSMA) software company. appNovi provides unparalleled visibility into application dependency mapping including production infrastructure, virtual and cloud environments integrated with comprehensive asset tracking.

This strategic acquisition complements Fenix24’s recent acquisition of vArmour and further bolsters the company’s capabilities in providing market-leading resiliency, including business continuity, assured recoverability, and rapid recovery, through a single pane of glass across core infrastructure, security applications, and cloud/SaaS environments.

In both peacetime and wartime, most organizations struggle to understand their application and infrastructure dependencies, resulting in significantly slower ransomware recovery and reduced resiliency. By integrating Fenix24’s proprietary software, Argos99, with the capabilities gained from vArmour and now appNovi’s advanced application dependency analysis, Fenix24 customers will gain detailed mapping and visualization of physical assets, strengthening their understanding of network exposure and vulnerabilities.

This technology not only provides security teams and other stakeholders with a clear plan for prioritizing network protection, but also significantly improves recovery efficiency after an attack. Teams can identify which servers must be restored first to bring the most critical systems back online as quickly as possible.

“By providing real-time visualizations of an organization’s network flow, assets and application dependencies, the acquisition of appNovi’s technology not only accelerates Fenix24’s recovery services but greatly enhances our peacetime resiliency and assured recoverability offerings,” Fenix24 CEO Mark Grazman said. “Perhaps most importantly, we are proud to integrate the key founders of appNovi into the Argos99 team as we build Argos99 into a market changing software offering uniquely suited to enhancing resiliency and recoverability both pre and post breach.”

Key benefits of the acquisition include:

  • Greater Visibility & Control. appNovi’s asset mapping and vulnerability analysis improve awareness of network exposure.
  • Faster Incident Response. Streamlined tools help prioritize fixes and accelerate recovery after cyberattacks.
  • Integrated Security View. appNovi’s capabilities strengthen Fenix24’s Argos99 platform, creating a unified security ecosystem.
  • Single Pane of Glass Across Over 40 Critical Applications. appNovi has implemented API integrations allowing for a single pane of glass empowering organizations to enhance resiliency, monitor policy drifts, and accelerate recoverability.
  • Compliance. appNovi offers agentless and real-time application dependency monitoring which is a growing compliance requirement including core to the EU’s DORA regulatory framework.

“appNovi was created to bridge the gap between technical complexity and business risk,” said Joe Schreiber, Co-founder of appNovi. “By joining forces with Fenix24, we are scaling that mission even further by providing security teams with actionable insights and helping organizations make faster, more informed decisions before, during, and after a cyber event.”
