ZURICH – As part of a modernisation of its corporate culture, the Swiss branch office of HDI Global SE will move to Zurich’s Prime Tower in December 2022. As one of the leading industrial insurers in Switzerland, HDI Global is thereby accelerating the transformation of its workplace culture to the challenges of today and creating ideal enablers for hybrid working and virtual teams. At the same time, the industrial insurer is ensuring short pathways to its customers, brokers and business partners through the central position and outstanding transport connections of its new location.
The stunning building designed by Gigon/Guyer was completed in 2011 and then handed over to the owner Swiss Prime Site. The Prime Tower with its ambitious sustainability standards embodies the mission statement and sustainability strategy of the HDI Group. The building complies with the Swiss Minergie Standard for low energy, was awarded Switzerland’s GreenProperty Quality Seal and has been saluted with LEED Gold Status.
Team work with picturesque view of Lake Zurich
HDI will in future have office space of 1,200 square metres on the 21st floor. The mix of open-space areas, individual offices and conference rooms of varying sizes will allow the Swiss HDI Team to work in a modern and collaborative approach – with a wonderful view of Lake Zurich and the Alps.
Marc Luginbühl, CEO of HDI Global in Switzerland, commented as follows: “I’m delighted that we are able to make the move to the Prime Tower a reality.Once again, we are thereby demonstrating that we are an attractive and modern employer located in the heart of Zurich. In future, we will be able to provide our team with a large selection of outstanding and individual office workplaces and also facilitate hybrid working – empowering staff to work in their home office or at the Prime Tower as appropriate.”
HDI Global was supported by the real-estate service provider CBRE, which has driven forward implementation of the new workplace concept and the search for a new location.
Up to 2,000 people from a large number of different sectors work at the Prime Tower, including banks, software houses, management consultants, law firms and online retailers. The Prime Tower rising to a height of 126 metres symbolises the new departure and new beginning for the former industrial quarter in the west of Zurich. The bus stop and suburban station of Hardbrücke are right on the doorstep. Zurich Central Station is just three minutes away and the trip to Zurich Airportonly takes twelve minutes. The 36-storey tower was constructed between 2008 and 2011. It has leased floorspace of 40,000 m². A bar is provided on the ground floor and a restaurant and bistro are open to the public on the top floor.
