Luminys Partners with TMG to Expand Security and Smart Building Solutions Across the Western U.S.

by Jon Seals | August 6, 2025 | | 0 comments

Luminys Systems Corp. has formed a strategic partnership with Thomasson Marketing Group (TMG), a well-established manufacturer representative firm with deep expertise in the security and smart building sectors. Effective August 1, the alliance is set to expand Luminys’ regional channel presence across a key growth region, with a particular focus on the U.S. West Coast.

With more than 20 years of experience, TMG brings extensive regional coverage and technical capabilities to the table. The firm will support Luminys’ full suite of products, including AI-powered network cameras, NDAA-compliant NVRs, and smart building technologies. Through this collaboration, Luminys aims to reach new customers across 10 states: Alaska, Arizona, Northern California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

The partnership supports Luminys’ broader go-to-market strategy by strengthening local representation, deepening relationships with integrators, and enhancing hands-on support for partners in the region.

“Luminys is thrilled to join forces with TMG to provide faster, more localized support and build stronger relationships with dealers and integrators across the Western U.S.,” said Wayne Hurd, VP of Sales, North America at Luminys. “This partnership blends TMG’s regional and technical expertise with Luminys’ cutting-edge solutions to ensure both new and existing customers benefit from hands-on training, sales engagement, and strategic growth opportunities.”

The initiative is already underway. Sales training has been completed, with more sessions planned through the remainder of 2025. Regional sales managers from both companies are now working together on customer initiatives, from joint distribution events to integrator outreach. TMG will lead distributor engagement, while Luminys will focus on solution design, system conversions, and project-based support—creating a balanced, aligned go-to-market effort.

Key partnership benefits include:

  • Compliance with FCC and NDAA standards: Luminys offers NDAA-compliant and FCC-certified solutions designed with integrator flexibility in mind.
  • Product compatibility: Support for third-party integrations with ONVIF compliance ensures seamless integration with leading VMS platforms.
  • Real-time AI analytics: Luminys’ LumiCloud platform delivers intelligent detection, alerts, and customizable analytics.
  • Dedicated channel support: TMG will help onboard and support partners through the Luminys MVP Program, which provides training and go-to-market resources.

“TMG and Luminys are aligned with a shared vision to put customers first, drive innovation, and deliver comprehensive security solutions,” said Jordan R. Thomasson, President of TMG. “We’re excited to extend the reach of Luminys products across the Western U.S., supported by best-in-class, localized service.”

The partnership builds on Luminys’ ongoing investment in regional representative firms and follows its 2024 collaboration with LRG. Through its MVP Program, Luminys continues to focus on integrator enablement and improved access to advanced smart and secure technology solutions across the country.
