SABEY DATA CENTERS ACHIEVES ISO 27001 CERTIFICATION

Sabey facilities successfully complete a third-party audit attesting to the “gold standard” of information security

SEATTLE, Wash. – Seattle-based Sabey Data Center Properties announced today that four of its major data centers located in Washington State, Virginia and New York City have successfully completed a rigorous third-party audit to achieve ISO 27001 certification – the global standard for information security.

The audit, conducted by Schellman & Company, LLC, certifies the data centers as having met the specification for an information security management system (ISMS). An ISMS is a framework of policies and procedures that includes all legal, physical and technical controls involved in an organization’s information risk management processes.

The specification defines a six-part planning process and includes details for documentation, management responsibility, internal audits, continual improvement, and corrective and preventive action. The standard also requires cooperation among all sections of an organization.

The facilities that achieved ISO 27001 certification are Sabey’s Intergate.Seattle, Intergate.Ashburn; Intergate.Quincy and Intergate.Manhattan data centers.
