StorMagic’s SvHCI solution has been tested and validated with three Supermicro IoT SuperServers, expanding deployment options for edge computing, IoT, and traditional rack server environments. Customers can now configure SvHCI on pre-tested Supermicro servers that best meet their specific needs.
Introduced in 2024, StorMagic SvHCI is a full-stack HCI software solution designed for the enterprise edge, ROBOs, and SMBs. It combines the virtualized storage capabilities of SvSAN with a StorMagic hypervisor, virtualized networking, and management components. SvHCI can be deployed on a single server or on two servers for high availability and to eliminate downtime.
Supermicro’s IoT SuperServers support a wide range of edge applications, including multi-access, enterprise, and 5G. The validated models include the SYS-220HE-FTNR, a 2U Hyper system with six NVMe/SATA bays; the SYS-210SE-31A, a SuperEdge 2U3-Node UP front I/O short-depth server; and the SYS-110D-20C, a 20-core, 600W -48 Vdc redundant PWS, 1U edge platform.
“The SvHCI software stack was designed specifically for edge use cases, and these environments need the fast, reliable, and affordable servers that Supermicro is known for,” said Bruce Kornfeld, Chief Product Officer, StorMagic. “We’re seeing a massive exodus from VMware in the industry, fueling demand for SvHCI. Expanding our hardware compatibility list with Supermicro ensures we can deliver exactly what customers need.”
StorMagic SvHCI is available immediately through StorMagic’s global reseller network. The full-stack software starts at $2,049 per server. For a complete index of supported hardware for StorMagic SvHCI, please refer to the latest SvHCI Hardware Compatibility List.
