SwiftStack Products Now Available on Carahsoft SEWP V Contract

by Jon Seals | February 6, 2019 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

Newest Addition Allows Agencies to Modernize Storage with SwiftStack

SAN FRANCISCO and RESTON, Va. – SwiftStack, a leader in multi-cloud storage and data management, andCarahsoft Technology Corp., The Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider®, today announced a resale partnership. Under the agreement, Carahsoft will serve as SwiftStack’s Federal Distributor and Master Aggregator, making the company’s industry-leading multi-cloud storage products available to the public sector and Carahsoft’s reseller partners via the company’s NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) V Contract.

Central to this partnership is SwiftStack’s integration with Splunk®Enterprise software. A feature of Splunk Enterprise 7.2 is SmartStore, which SwiftStack storage is fully compliant as a remote object store. SmartStore decouples storage and compute within Splunk Enterprise, creating lower total cost of ownership.  Through SmartStore’s efficiencies, IT and security groups can expand Splunk usage and retain data for longer, enabling deeper, more powerful searches. Additionally, due to SwiftStack’s software-defined model, government agencies will now receive these solutions at a significantly reduced cost of ownership.

“Carahsoft is one of the leading IT solutions providers in the public sector marketplace,” said Erik Pounds, VP of Marketing at SwiftStack. “Partnering with them is the clear choice based on their proactive sales and marketing strategies, number of contracts held, and years of driving growth across the federal, state and local government marketplaces. We look forward to expanding this relationship and building out agencies’ existing Splunk deployments with our software-defined storage solutions.”

SwiftStack complements SmartStore by creating a scale-out storage tier.  SmartStore introduces a caching mechanism that manages indexed data across SwifStack’s remote object store and local storage. With a “grow-as-you-go” model, SwiftStack also provides government users the architectural flexibility to fit their specific infrastructure and ensure compliance with existing and future storage requirements.

“Providing the leading technologies to address agencies’ pressing challenges has been our mission since Day 1,” said Ebben Yazel, Technology Alliances Manager at Carahsoft. “SwiftStack is a great addition to our Splunk portfolio at Carahsoft and to our reseller partners’ portfolios, and we are excited to see how its solutions meet our government customers’ data needs and enable their missions.”

SwiftStack’s storage products are available immediately via Carahsoft’s SEWP V contracts NNG15SC03B and NNG15SC27B. To learn about SwiftStack and its capabilities with SmartStore, view the “The ‘Smarts’ of SmartStore,” an on-demand webinar hosted by SwiftStack and Carahsoft. For more information, contact the SwiftStack team at Carahsoft at (703) 871-8548 or SwiftStack@carahsoft.com.
