Tessell Partners with HashiCorp to Enhance Database-as-a-Service Offering

by Jon Seals | June 12, 2024 | | 0 comments

Integration leverages infrastructure-as-code to automate and streamline the provisioning of new databases

SAN RAMON, Calif. – Tessell, a leading provider of Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) solutions, today announced its partnership with HashiCorp, a leader in cloud infrastructure automation. This strategic collaboration aims to enhance the capabilities of Tessell’s DBaaS platform and provide customers with even greater flexibility, scalability, and security.

HashiCorp is renowned for its Terraform tool, a widely adopted infrastructure-as-code solution that allows users to define and manage their infrastructure resources in a declarative manner. Tessell is already a Terraform Provider, enabling users to provision new databases using Terraform code with just a single click. This integration leverages the power of infrastructure-as-code to automate and streamline the provisioning of new databases, making the process simple, efficient, and reproducible.

As part of the new partnership, Tessell will integrate HashiCorp’s industry-leading product, Vault, into its DBaaS platform. Vault will enhance security by providing a centralized solution for secrets management and encryption.

By leveraging HashiCorp’s powerful automation and security tools, Tessell will enable its customers to easily deploy and manage their databases in a secure and efficient manner. This partnership will enable organizations to accelerate their digital transformation initiatives and focus on delivering innovative products and services to their customers.

“Our partnership with HashiCorp further enhances our DBaaS offerings,” said Bala Kuchibhotla, CEO of Tessell. “By integrating HashiCorp’s automation and security solutions into our platform, we are enabling our customers to streamline their database operations and ensure the highest level of data protection. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to simplify database management and provide a seamless experience for our customers.”

“This collaboration with Tessell brings the power of HashiCorp’s automation and security tools to their DBaaS platform,” said Asvin Ramesh, Senior Director of Partner Alliances at HashiCorp. “Together, we will enable organizations to leverage the benefits of cloud-native databases while ensuring the highest level of security and compliance. We look forward to a successful partnership with Tessell.”

HasiCorp was named the 2023 Microsoft Global Partner of the Year for Open Source Software, while Tessell was recognized as the runner-up. In response to the partnership, Nicole Dezen, Chief Partner Officer and Corporate Vice President of Global Partner Solutions at Microsoft, said, “We are delighted to see two award-winning partners collaborating to develop innovative solutions that make a positive impact on customers, showcasing the best of what’s possible with Azure.”
