Nuclear Preparedness in Tense Times

In the wake of rising tensions between North Korea and the United States, many believe the world’s populations need to be prepared for a nuclear-related nuclear event. Without getting into politics or specific threats, this article examines nuclear preparedness strategies from the early atomic age through today. Know your Clean Level: Background Naturally Occurring Radiation Levels How clean is clean? The question has been asked by environmental scientists for decades following environmental catastrophes. Fortunately, the clean level for radiation levels can be defined as the naturally occurring background radiation levels composed of natural elements, ultra-violet radiation, and various forms of ionizing radiation.
