ORLANDO, Fla. – There’s no doubt COVID-19 shook up the world and left business resilience professionals wondering what the future would hold.

“We were hoping for a three- or four-year recovery from the pandemic but we achieved it in one and a half years,” said Disaster Recovery Journal President Bob Arnold after completion of DRJ Spring 2023. “We had more than 750 registered attendees, with 100 of those joining us virtually.”

Double-digit percentage increases each conference since the pandemic have put DRJ in-person events back to normal. “We were pleased to hit our pre-COVID numbers much earlier than projected,” said Arnold.

Providing online events during the pandemic, DRJ was able to maintain its spot atop the business resilience industry. “We were also able to get creative and maintain a hybrid event with in-person and virtual components.”

The attendees hub website will allow attendees to learn from every session at DRJ Spring 2023 (but one) for the next three months.

“That’s a great value to our attendees who don’t have budgets to travel, or those who had to pick between two sessions they really wanted to attend,” said Arnold. “Now, they can check out as many of those other sessions as they want.”

Take a look at the photos from DRJ Spring 2023:

Fusion Risk Management, iluminr, OnSolve were platinum sponsors of the event. Gold sponsors included Everbridge, Genasys, and Infinite Blue. Silver sponsors included 11:11 Systems, Converge Enterprise Cloud, Deloitte, eBRP Solutions, Intervision, Kyndryl, OpenText Cybersecurity, Panzura, Perpetuuiti, Preparis a division of Agility, Riskonnect. Bronze sponsors included Archer, Asfalis Advisors, Bacula Enterprise, Cayuse Commercial Services, MorganFranklin Consulting, Pronto Recovery, Protecht, Recovery Point Systems, Satcom Direct, Sayers, StormGeo, Wolf & Company.

“I want to thank all our great sponsors,” said Arnold. “We wouldn’t be able to do any of this without their continued support.”

DRJ Fall 2023: Focus on Resiliency will take place Sept. 10-13, 2023, at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa.

“Join us at an upcoming DRJ event,” said Arnold. “We welcome everyone and I’m truly proud of what my team has built here at DRJ over the past 36 years.

“No other industry event comes close to the size and scope of a DRJ event, and it is for good reason. Our shows attract the most diverse audience, more certified professionals than the certified event itself, more senior-level professionals than the ‘self-proclaimed’ senior level shows, and more industry leading vendors than any event.

“Come join us and find out why!”
