Protecting Home Care Professionals Away From Home During a Disaster

Aug. 9, 2014, will forever remain a day that changed the St. Louis metropolitan region. The death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., unlocked the boiling temperatures of St. Louis residents. From protesting, tear gas, police blockades, to riots, traveling in the community was challenging. Many day-to-day errands came to a halt. For some, getting to a doctor's appointment or obtaining medication from the pharmacy was hindered.
