It’s practically impossible to begin the New Year without thinking about some resolutions. While setting goals for the new year is pretty common for most of us, so are the results—we may consider them worthy endeavors, but they’re too hard to keep. Perhaps it’s time to reconsider these grand resolutions, and look at them more as pledges or promises to make a change—after all, it’s harder to break a promise, right? Also worth noting is how your New Year resolutions can positively affect you, your family, your company, and your disaster recovery planning—if you’re up to the task! As you balance your home and work promises for 2019, here are some suggestions for pledges you can set:

  • Lower your stress level by taking a walk around the neighborhood.
  • Cut down on your family’s screen time and play a board game together.
  • Decrease your company’s risk by reviewing your Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) plan for gaps and implementing your plan to plug those holes.
