Sept. 16, 2026 – Understanding and Protecting your Supply Chain: A Business Continuity Professional’s Guide to Resilience

Organizations cannot build resilience without understanding their supply chain. This webinar provides business continuity professionals with the knowledge and tools to identify supply chain vulnerabilities, develop mitigation strategies, and strengthen their ability to withstand and recover from disruptions.

The global supply chain is a complex network of suppliers, infrastructure, transportation systems, and dependencies that enables organizations to source materials, deliver services, manufacture products, and meet customer expectations. Disruptions—including natural disasters, geopolitical instability, cyberattacks, transportation failures, supplier insolvency, inadequate vendor continuity planning, and workforce challenges—can create significant operational, financial, and reputational impacts.

Participants will explore how supply chains are structured, the critical dependencies that support them, and strategies to improve resilience through supplier assessments, business continuity and disaster recovery reviews, diversification, alternate sourcing, inventory strategies, geographic considerations, and stakeholder collaboration.

The session will also address practical approaches for preparing for, responding to, and recovering from supply chain disruptions. Real-world case studies will highlight lessons learned and provide actionable steps to enhance continuity planning and risk management programs.

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Define the global supply chain and understand its key components, relationships, and dependencies.
  • Identify critical infrastructure systems that enable supply chain operations, including transportation, energy, communications, manufacturing, logistics, and technology networks.
  • Recognize emerging and traditional threats that can disrupt supply chain operations.
  • Assess supply chain vulnerabilities and understand their potential business impacts.
  • Audit Supply Chain vendors BCPs and DRPs
  • Explore sourcing strategies and resilience
